Our team, our local program partners, and every operational partner who helps make this program possible each month are heartbroken at the loss of our founder, Dolly Parton. (cont.)
@timreay@IainSankey@SandyofSuffolk This is what’s happening according the the original post. But original poster wants to know why the staff can’t do their 2 days training at the end of August so the children all start on 1st September. As it’s been explained to her why now, hopefully clearer 😀
@48hrsnotice4sea@bphillipsonMP We were told the other day at a Governors meeting that schools are funded 40p per pupil - she equated it to half a bagel. This does NOT cover the cost of a decent breakfast NOR the costs of staffing it. Plus, lots of schools are already providing breakfasts for chn most in need.
@autcareandshare But I wouldn’t really recommend them as a suitable cruise as it’s quite a lively crowd although equally a very accepting/diverse crowd. We used staysure for our insurance. There are also often codes for some extra money off and coverage is good.
@autcareandshare We did a Virgin cruise in August. They don’t do a drinks package but you can buy bar credit (they give you some extra dollars when you buy in advance). We aren’t huge drinkers so this worked well for us. all soft drinks and hot beverages included apart from “fancy” coffees.
@Spentwith@furious_mum@kelvmackenzie 10% is usually approx 2.5 hours a week. It’s not enough to do it all, but there is lap a clause saying directed to work 1265 hours Plus whatever time is needed to complete the job (I’m paraphrasing).
@Spentwith@furious_mum@kelvmackenzie Teachers are contracted to work 195 days (5 of these are staff development days). Each week they are entitled to 10% of their teaching time for PPA (planning, preparation and assessment).
@HColonelDMS@Jenny_1884 I hold the door open (or pass the door) to everyone. Just basic manners. Plus I say thank you when someone does the same for me.
@Lindsey54263366@dshensmith@Jenny_1884 Yes, my man would do this when we were out with her. I always moved my children either onto one of our laps OR, I’d stand and have the younger one sit on older daughters lap if it was a longer journey. To me, this is all just basic good manners.
@db_fink As our faithful Nissan came to the end of its life. Instead of the travel allowance we now have an electric company car. Because it’s electric it’s more favourable in terms of tax. The convenience of having the leasing company sort it is a big bonus for us.
@greatmamatheo@RogersHistory There’s also significantly more having to be crammed into the days in order for children to meet ELGs, KS1 and KS2 requirements. The curriculum needs looking at and more time made for lots of the areas you mentioned.
@disnenchanted@RogersHistory I’m not totally against it but in my school we’ve 4 tiny sinks and the water is pretty much non existent because of ancient, clogged up pipes. All for 60 children. So it will just take a lot longer.
