@MetaRidesInc@starwars For a Star Wars film, 18 months is the bare minimum it takes from when cameras start rolling, to when the movie is on theater screens. This project is still in preproduction (needs cast hired, sets built, etc) and doesn't start filming until this fall , so May 2027 checks out.
@PalmerLuckey@modretro If you're going to quote The Matrix, maybe you should reflect a bit on how much that entire work and its authors loathe absolutely everything about someone like you.
@naadofett@TakiUdon_ The User button's functionality is defined on a per core basis, and no I'm not aware of any that use it for anything more significant than a soft reset. It was part of the MiSTer design because the DE10-Nano just so happened to have 3 buttons, and has never been design-critical.
@TakiUdon_@SipeedIO (I'm just kidding, of course. No need for everything to be a competition. I just thought the timing was kind of amusing, since the SuperStation was just introduced with the "world's first affordable FPGA gaming console" title. Good luck and much success to all!)
@TakiUdon_@SipeedIO So, this does mean that both of you are now officially in a race for the title of "world's first affordable FPGA gaming console." π RetroRemake announced first, and Sipeed opened preorders first, so now it's just a matter of who can actually ship first.
@TakiUdon_@g3ntlemen You have really got to stop calling it that. The owner of this very website literally went out and threw up a full-blown straight-armed Nazi salute in public this week. A tiny bit of sensitivity and cautious consideration is really not too much to ask, in the current climate.
@girlsperhour @TakiUdon_ "A pattern is forming, though."
Yeeeeaaaaahhhh I hate to cast this kind of thing around, but Taki is starting to comes across like a guy in the early stages of going mask-off off the deep end in response to the tiniest, gentlest criticism, rather than making any tiny changes.
@petersaints@SeeingMount@TakiUdon_@Kiwi357 If anybody needs to keep playing Labo and Ring Fit indefinitely into the future THAT badly, they could also just, ya know, keep their Switch 1 around. You do realize that Switch 2 coming out is not going to cause all Switch 1s to evaporate on launch day, right?
@TakiUdon_@Kiwi357 I really can't blame them for not wanting to keep this otherwise completely deprecated sensor, just for Labo and Ring Fit. And besides, they'd still need an asterisk regardless; Switch 2 wouldn't be compatible with every Labo toy, simply because of the fact that it's larger.
@Kiwi357@TakiUdon_ I'm disappointed to see Taki even remotely playing along with any of these narratives, but hey, he's always looking for any opportunity to peddle his wares.
@Kiwi357@TakiUdon_ Loud minority of toxic shit-stirring "controversy" hounds who thrive off of negativity over trivial nothingburgers, rather than actually having fun with their games.
@SMetaldave64 Also, LOL at worrying about Nintendo's revenue. The Switch will be the best-selling game console of all time by the end of this year, and their first-party software has sold over 600 million units. I think they're gonna be alright.
@SMetaldave64 Nintendo is actually ahead of the curve in that they're already about to launch their second ARM-based system, whereas both MS and Sony will still eventually have to tackle their eventual transition away from X86 to RISC, and all the teething problems that will likely entail.
