MODERN LIFE FOR PARENTS:
"I get two different sets of weekly emails (one from the classroom teachers, one from the school), plus there’s a PTO email list, an occasional announcement email list, an informal Whatsapp group, a formal Whatsapp group and at least one, maybe two, electronic portals I think I’m supposed to be checking."
So long as no one sleeps there should be plenty of time to keep up!
Really cool moment tonight postgame after VCU upset UNC. VCU head coach Phil Martelli Jr. made a point to shoutout the student reporters that made the trip.
Lots of great stuff this time of year, but this was a really awesome, genuine exchange.
Homes are already optimized and designed for humans. That’s why humanoid robots make a lot of sense. The infrastructure has been built by humans for humans.
Doesn’t take into account that there is value to redesigning homes and other spaces so humans have more and better living space
Just like warehouses were redesigned to optimize speed/storage and access. Homes, offices and other spaces can be redesigned
Just because a humanoid can do the job, it doesn’t mean it’s the optimal robot for the job and space utilization
Why wouldn’t you use a smaller, less expensive, easier to maintain robot that has an environment it was designed for ?

It's 9:47 PM. Your kid just remembered tomorrow is St. Patrick's Day.
No green shirts. No gold coins. And someone just texted "leprechaun trap???" with zero context.

Poison ivy causes allergic contact dermatitis in approximately 85% of humans who encounter it.
It spreads with extraordinary efficiency along field edges, roadsides, and disturbed ground. Chemical control requires repeated application. Mechanical removal needs full protective gear and specialist disposal: the dead plant stays irritant for years.
The goat is immune. Completely. Goats lack the immune sensitivity to urushiol that makes poison ivy dangerous to humans. The goat eats it efficiently, repeatedly, without distress, and with visible enthusiasm given that it considers poison ivy a perfectly adequate lunch.
In the United States, there is an established rental market for goat herds contracted specifically to clear poison ivy from properties, parks, and conservation sites.
The goats arrive. The goats eat. The goats move on.
No chemicals. No protective suits. No specialist disposal.
The goat is also immune to poison oak and poison sumac: the entire urushiol-producing plant family.
The goat was never bothered. Not once.
