The gov stopped coverage for 1 of my life-saving meds. I'm at the end of my rope, feeling more ill, unable to afford the obscene costs
I know you've all saved my life before, I'm eternally grateful and asking for your help once again if you're able
Pls RT

Holy flipping cow.
Symptomatic NHS staff *looking after immunocompromised patients* no longer need to test for Covid.
Absolutely astonishing.
This will kill patients.
Beyond horrifying.
It took 16 years, more doctors than I can count and at least 3 gynos dismissing me before I got my endometriosis diagnosed and even then TWO MORE YEARS till any hope of treatments, meanwhile it's destroyed my insides... The medical system is so fucked
everyone says "omg if your periods are so debilitating you need to go to the doctor asap that's not normal ๐ฐ" but then you go to the doctor and if they dont find anything in the ultrasound they just be like yea it be like that for some take more painkillers
I donโt think many able bodied people realize how much they benefit from accessibility. Elevators, glasses, texting, captions, home devices that control lights and make calls. Making things accessible for disabled people makes it accessible for everyone.
That's very kind thank you, honestly things have been worse than ever struggling with new meds can't see specialist's but there a chance of i can tough it out they may help in a few weeks i really don't know what I'll do if they don't do I'm just trying my best to stay alive
It took way too many times of looking at my feed and wondering why I didn't see posts from ppl I followed anymore to discover the for you and following tabs... How did I ever get my comp sci degree istg
@KelseyNicoloff Oh jeeze Louise that's so beyond frustrating love but I can empathize I was on a waitlist for two years only to have him come up on malpractice charges and stripped of his license ๐ฑ wtffff like low key obvs glad I didn't see him but still wasted two bloody years
Being chronically ill and poor is like playing a hundred not fun games of would you rather every day.
Would you rather have medications or food?
Be hygienically clean or have pain relief?
Constantly juggling more needs than resources
So exhausted

I only have like three friends left now and I still haven't hung out in person in years. This shit is so hard. Just to stay alive as a disabled person in this society the costs were always high but it's hard not to ask yourself if it's worth it when they keep getting higher
When many people state the lockdowns caused the deepest depression theyโve ever experienced, just a reminder that many disabled people are still in lockdown, six years later. Isolation is a form of torture. I want to live in a world where disabled people are wanted in society.
@TheInfinateSun Thank you, I honestly used to be so self conscious of my smile but I've since learned to value experiencing joy far more than somebody else's idea of what I should look like ๐
I'm not saying every daydreamer is neurodivergent but if you were accused of spacing out so much you tried to adopt it into your personality so it didn't sting as much when you got caught missing something like "lol I'm so spacey sorry"
...Then maybe look into the ND thing ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ
@jasmeralia@MHolquinn Whaaa I didn't even know that was a thing thank you! How'd the area where they took the nail off did it heal to normal skin or scar? And do you have to use the Topical cream forever or does it stop growing eventually?
Currently failing at sleeping and my annoyance at the reason is on par with my exhaustion...
All the medical horrors I've survived and the painsomnia culprit that took me out tonight?
An ingrown toenail ๐ญ๐คโ๐ป
Come on a toenail? Dead cells? I feel so weak sauce
