@SW_Help Fortunately, this is the last of the tickets purchased before the timetable change, so all of our tickets going forward will have the actual time of travel on them. Should make it actually easier to get on a train! Fingers crossed!
@SW_Help Platform barrier staff at Waterloo need to understand that people with a ticket for the 14.20 train to Exeter (now mythical, extinct, non existent, obsolete) can't board the 14.20. They have to get earlier or later. Then have to defend that to staff! Insult to injury!
@SW_Help Absolutely, but the barrier staff at Waterloo were arguing about that, and it was touch and go for allowing the 14.20 ticket. Luckily they did. Shoudlobe down to luck
That moment when you have to check you're on the right train because there are more than two carriages! First time for everything... @SW_Help The WoE line feels different when you aren't cramped with your knees up under your chin between the toilet and the luggage rack
@nationalexpress help please! The tracker map is showing a later journey on same route. https://t.co/EcmUDP4Btg can the map be changed to show the correct journey? Thank you
@swtrains_watch inspired by your correspondence with DfT and SWR, I want to write to my MP about the service from Exeter to Waterloo, which is - yet again - plagued with bus replacement services. Where can I find info/stats on SWR rail performance (or lack of)?
@swtrains_watch We had a reply from the MPs office which might be useful but it's lengthy (detailed and thorough). Is it of interest if I DM it to you? I don't want to ruin your Friday evening if it isn't π«£
@leonagraham My teenage son is off on a solo trip to Italy tomorrow, before joining a language programme for a week. I can feel the anxiety already π«£
@swtrains_watch@SW_Help no direct trains from London Waterloo to Exeter this afternoon. So for my husband to get to Paignton, it's changes at Basingstoke, Exeter and Newton Abbot. No doubt all overcrowded, overheated & chaotic. GWR ticket acceptance not in place. Will update!
@swtrains_watch@SW_Help Thank you, we plan to do exactly that.
SWR doesn't realise people's journey doesn't magically stop at Exeter. To get home he still has to go another two trains to Paignton. So suggestion of changes at Basingstoke and Salisbury make it hellish.
@SW_Help Thanks but he has given up, it's too much. Two cancellations, one delayed crew member, one delayed departure, no AC, four potential train changes and this is all before he left Waterloo!
@swtrains_watch@SW_Help He has given up and is on a tube to Paddington and has bought a Β£63 ticket direct to exeter. Can't be fancying around in Basingstoke and Salisbury and Exeter and Newton abbot in this heat and all the service gets cancelled one by one and driver missing and no AC
