Join us in praying for our nation today with Pastor John Munro, Calvary Church, North Carolina. We'll post a new prayer every day at noon until July 4 at https://t.co/iVTtkkGoHS, where we invite you to join this movement of prayer.
Prayer for the day: Thank You, loving Heavenly Father, for the promise that when we mourn, You will comfort us. I have felt the healing of Your consolation in the past and know You will never fail me.
Prayer for the day: Lord Jesus, when You come again, how many hearts will rejoice. Until then, with expectant anticipation, I eagerly wait for that glorious day!
"How many dangers surround the Christian minister! As the officers in an army are the chosen targets of the sharpshooters, so are the ministers of Christ."
- Charles Spurgeon
Pride is the sin that convinced Satan he could rise above God, and it still destroys lives today.
Pride rejects correction, resists repentance, and robs God of the glory He deserves.
"God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble." (James 4:6)
Choose humility before pride ensures your downfall.
“And they stood up in their place and read from the Book of the Law of the LORD their God for one-fourth of the day; and for another fourth they confessed and worshiped the LORD their God.”
Nehemiah 9:3
The true believer loves the Lord Jesus Christ above all, having chosen Him for his best beloved, his closest friend and his highest happiness. He sees a purity and ravishing excellency in Christ, that powerfully draws forth his love to Him.
Disciplines all Christians need to thrive:
• Reading the Scriptures with a submissive heart
• Praying without ceasing
• Gathering regularly with your local church
“… beware that your convictions turn not into discouragements to faith… they are Christ’s knocks for entrance; and were never intended to be bars or stumbling blocks, but steps in your way to Christ.”
— John Flavel
Assuredly, sooner or later, God will meet you. My hearty daily prayer is, that it may be in a way of mercy, and that you may be added to the number of the trophies of his invincible grace.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
I Peter 1:3 NKJV
When you pray tonight, pray for wisdom to walk away from what harms you. Ask God to give you discernment when something looks good but isn't. Not every opportunity is a blessing.
Without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him. Hebrews 11:6
