Just a couple more days left before our REU students head back to their home institutions, in what was a productive summer research experience up here in the Adirondacks!
The thousand-island region is an archipelago (> 1800 islands!) which straddles the Canadian-US border on the St. Lawrence River. Our REU students got a taste of the area, visiting Alexandria Bay - a popular tourist town for travelers willing to trek the to far reaches of New York
Our REU students arrived on Memorial Day and are getting settled here in Potsdam, NY with onboarding and orientation. Tomorrow they'll be exploring the Adirondacks and Great Lakes cultural heritage sites - half a day's worth of field trips! #NSFREU#undergradresearch#adirondacks
Our REU students will be arriving to @ClarksonUniv today! We'll be hosting an amazing cohort from as far as Texas and North Carolina for the next 10 weeks. Part of their experience will be learning about the Adirondack region of New York and the importance of our local waterways.
