🚨 EXCL: Nottingham Forest set to sign Ousmane Diomande from Sporting CP. Deal being finalised for coveted #SportingCP centre-back at €40m. 22yo Ivory Coast int’l expected to travel tonight & do medical before joining #NFFC on 5yr contract @TheAthleticFC https://t.co/joMbMMlR8X
@Crafty_Benardo I just don’t think you can buy a 3rd CB for 30M so it would just make sense to keep him. I guess the only way it makes sense is cause he’s an academy player so it’s pure profit
@Crafty_Benardo I think PSG would still need to sign one more attacker before being comfortable letting Barcola go, all will depend if they win the race for Diomande
@ReallyDantheman To me Chesapeake would actually make the most sense, city has been growing over the last 5-10 years plus they have the space and easy accessibility with the HRBT and MMBT and even James River Bridge if needed
Around the league, people are quietly asking if new Blazers owner Tom Dundon would rather relocate than fix the Moda Center standoff, per @johnhollinger
The problem: Seattle and Vegas are expansion turf, Austin and Nashville are blocked by the Spurs and Grizzlies, and nothing else beats Portland.
@Crafty_Benardo Business part always comes first for better or worse. Even in Europe it’s a business, it’s just a very small portion of extremely large clubs. I think the bigger problem is that soccer at best is the 3rd most popular sport in the country therefore we’ll never go “all in” on it
@DubClayton Exactly, his option, which he could very easily decline or threaten to decline to create leverage for himself. That’s straight out of the Klutch Sports playbook.
