NOW DO BASEBALL, BEFORE SOMEONE GETS SERIOUSLY HURT. Absolute embarrassment to the town.

There’s so much mycelium on these greens, I just spit out my coffee and I wasn’t even drinking any. Finally got the pump working on the 20+ year old sprayer but now water spews from hoses. Tech making a house call on Monday, and contractor coming in Wednesday to spray everything
We had some sun this morning but it’s since disappeared. Today’s opening has obviously been pushed back. Looking at possibly opening for walking on Sunday. Tomorrow’s weather will play a big part in that. Some pockets of the course may not see enough April sun to melt the snow.
Ahead of today’s “warm” rain, we pulled the cover back on 4 green yesterday. This was my first look at last years vandalism so I have nothing to compare it to but it appears there is some healing along the outer edges. Seed had not germinated. We hand spiked and reseeded. Cont’d
Ideally I would have liked to slice seed or verticut then seed but both machines used for those purposes were leaking oil and gas, and not safe on the green. The cover was pulled back over the green, and will hopefully trap some heat from the next couple sunny and 50° days

@TimothyJ32 I’m not a huge fan of the zones either but if divide the greens into thirds, it likely still gives you room to avoid any wear or damaged areas
@TimothyJ32 You could go with rotating zones. Zone 1 on green 1 is front. Zone 1 on 2 is middle. Zone 1 on 3 is back, etc. My personal belief is most people should be aiming for the middle of the gr. They’re not as good as they think. Also, most players that are good enough have rangefinders
