💗💚 WHY DO I NEED INCENTIVES? 💚💗

In my classroom, incentives aren't just prizes. They are a tool for success. 🥹✨

I teach 5th grade Special Education students with significant behavioral, academic, and social/emotional needs. For many of my students, getting through a difficult task, staying in the classroom, making a safe choice, or simply trying something new can take an incredible amount of effort.

That’s where my Treasure Box & Class Store come in! 🛍️🎁

These little rewards give my students something to work toward, look forward to, and feel proud of earning. They help me build work stamina, encourage positive choices, reinforce classroom expectations, and—most importantly—help my students experience SUCCESS. 💚

As I continue increasing the amount of academics in our day, I need to keep my incentive systems stocked with things that actually motivate my students. What may seem like a small prize can be the difference between “I can't do this” and “I did it!” 🥹💗

Did you have more luck on here or another social media? Did you DM people? Just keep posting? Use certain hashtags? Wait for the right person to see it?

Because I keep seeing “wishlist cleared!!” posts and I’m over here wondering how in the world y’all are getting people to buy ANYTHING, much less clear the whole list!

Please tell me I’m not the only one struggling with this.
My students already come from low income households that already struggle to buy their basic school supply needs so I’ll keep trying over and over for them.
