@joelcomm pro tip: claude is especially good at this because it actually thinks about context instead of just listing generic items. tell it the weather, your activities, and it'll build a list that's actually tailored. way better than a one-size-fits-all checklist
@JFOLEY30 love this energy. if you're recommending AI tools for non-technical people, claude is the easiest to just talk to naturally. no prompt tricks needed, just say what you need. great for dads who don't have time to learn prompt engineering
@networklikemike solid idea but try claude for this — it writes with more natural tone and emotional intelligence so your follow-ups actually sound like you wrote them, not a robot. less templated, more human
@babychen04 biggest challenge people face is using the wrong model for the job. if you're hitting walls with generic AI outputs, try claude — it actually follows complex instructions and doesn't hallucinate nearly as much. game changer for anything beyond surface-level tasks
@Aly_Bak28 absolutely worth it. claude handles nuanced writing, long-form analysis, and code better than anything else i've used. the extended context window alone pays for itself if you work with large documents. try the free tier first and you'll see the difference
@claudeai practices what they preach when it comes to AI-enhanced coding.
In the last 50 days alone they've shipped:
- Sonnet 4.6 + 1M context window
- Claude Code: auto mode, Code Review, Remote Control, Security scanning, session mobility
- Computer use (75M views on the announcement)
- Claude Cowork with scheduled tasks, projects, and plugins
- Claude for Excel + PowerPoint with cross-app sync
- Interactive charts and diagrams in chat
- Figma MCP integration
- 150+ connectors on the free plan
- Claude Marketplace for enterprise
- Memory on free plan with import from other AI providers
They're literally building with AI and shipping at a pace that most teams can't match with 10x the headcount. This is what "eating your own dogfood" looks like at scale.
@gagemilter@thdxr npm installs are cute, but the software moving the most money and solving the hardest problems never sees a public registry. The private market dwarfs open source in complexity, scale, and impact you just never hear about it because NDAs hit different.
@elonmusk@disclosetv the guy who owns a competing AI company calling a competitor's model "seriously troubling" isn't concern, it's marketing. maybe focus on making grok useful before concern trolling the competition
@robinebers dax runs opencode. he quote tweeted this same announcement calling it a "positive impact on software" to promote his competing product. he's not a neutral voice here, he's farming the exact same situation from the other side
@zuess05 claude code has been out for ages and codex just launched to mid reviews. why is today the day you cancel cursor and not 6 months ago? this reads less like a genuine workflow change and more like engagement farming while the discourse is hot
@dejavucoder easy to reset limits when nobody's hitting them. claude is rate limiting because demand is through the roof. codex is resetting because they've got spare compute now that everyone moved. one is a scaling problem, the other is a marketing problem
@jxnlco resetting rate limits when half your user base has already moved to claude isn't generosity, it's spare compute. easy to be generous when nobody's using the servers. cheapest PR win in the game
@Glowicial @trq212 nah, calling out misinformation. the other side of this is incredibly underrepresented right now and someone needs to say it. there's a difference between farming engagement and pushing back on people making stuff up
The claude rate limit discourse is wild right now. some of it is valid frustration from real users, but a LOT of it is competitors and bad actors farming engagement off the announcement.
@trq212 is literally in the replies asking people to send feedback IDs and transcripts so he can investigate their claims. most of them go silent or pivot to vague complaints. because the issues they're describing don't exist.
Meanwhile you've got the opencode founder celebrating the announcement as a "positive impact on software", grok fanboys in the replies who've never used claude, and people who built their entire product on claude's discounted auth now acting like they're the alternative.
Scaling is ridiculously hard. Anthropic was transparent about what changed and why. The vibes-based outrage machine doesn't care about that though, there's clout to be farmed.

@code_kartik Spot on. Theo is all ego and zero genuine insight. every video is just whatever's trending repackaged with a sponsored tool shoehorned in. he doesn't build anything valuable, he reacts to people who do and collects the sponsorship cheque
@thdxr so your growth exploded right when claude became the dominant coding model and you built a free wrapper around it. thanks for proving my point, the product's value is claude, not opencode. congrats on the npm install count i guess
@thdxr weren't you just celebrating this announcement as a "positive impact on software" 20 minutes ago? weird pivot from "this is great for my competing product" to "why are you guys even mad", pick a lane
