This idea that players aren't hungry anymore because they have NIL money is so ridiculous. First, a lot of that narrative comes from the stereotype that a most of these kids grew up with nothing. The reality? Bunch of them have three-car garages and never needed the money. I've been to their childhood homes. And you know how much it costs to fly a kid around the country for AAU tournaments all summer?

Many of these kids aren't the rags-to-riches stories people want them to be. But if we're going to say a bunch of young players don't fight anymore because they're getting paid, then explain why that's not happening at every school or to every player. Cooper Flagg made millions last year and dunked on everybody in the building. Caleb Wilson is in a new tax bracket, too. You don't think he's hungry? He's trying to rip the rim off the backboard every night.

Also, will people over 35 stop pretending as if college sports have been clean for the last four decades? Yeah, the biggest star on your favorite team wasn't getting any kickbacks from a booster. He had that new car and off-campus apartment from that part-time job he never went to, right? It's ridiculous. And it's a lazy narrative that needs to end. If your favorite team is getting punched in the face every night, it's not because they have *legal* money now.
