@Nazthejerk18 Not to say he doesn't care by the way. It's just he's one of the more straight laced crew members so I'd rather see him care than be funny about something touching close to home. The scene is done with more humor in mind ( him saying it's for nami and berating the children)

@Nazthejerk18 I see your point but he was treated kindly by his mum and later on by Zeff and the chefs. That's why his departure was so tough when we see them open up. Sanji experienced true kindness and cruelty already so I wish he showed it of his own volition not someone else's (nami).

@Nazthejerk18 You could say "Zeff showed tough love by hiding it so he's like that too" but it's unnecessary to just carbon copy that trait onto Sanji precisely because of his past. Hell him being nice on kids will feel better with the reveal of his backstory later in big mom arc.

@Nazthejerk18 Considering he had a terrible childhood but got solace in meeting decent grownups, (zeff and co.) you'd expect him to be soft on kids. Especially these who're treated experimentally like he was. Oda missed this layup of character dev imo for the sake of the 'nami-swan' gags imo.

@terongsundagoon @dhomts Traveller "can" work as a substitute but not as well as odette. You can just stick with that team for now and pull her on her rerun if you want. Or wait for a future character who might work jusy as well.
