LOL - Who got on TV and lied to the public? Said one thing one day and something completely different the next day? Came up with shitty binders full of old news and nothing burgers. Show that interview again with Kash Patel and Dan Bongino, looking like hostage victims claiming the Epstein file is a nothing burger. Whoever the deep state is, it's not Kash Patel. The deep state has those guys scared shitless to release anything.
While they are quite distinct groups with much different origins, they do share some broad commonalities. I wouldn't laugh off his comments so quickly.
Here are some key similarities I found between them.
- Strong family and community ties/extended family importance: Both emphasize close-knit families, multigenerational living or proximity, and mutual support.
- Adaptability and resilience in challenging environments: Inuit have thrived in harsh Arctic conditions through innovation, hunting, and resourcefulness. Cajuns adapted to Louisiana's bayous/swamps after expulsion from Acadia, becoming skilled at fishing, trapping, farming, and living off the land in a humid, flood-prone area. Both show a fusion of traditional and modern ways.
- Subsistence/resourceful food culture tied to the local environment: Heavy reliance on hunting, fishing, and wild game. Inuit: seals, whales, fish, etc. Cajuns: seafood (crawfish, shrimp, etc.), wild game, and "whatโs available" hearty dishes. Both cultures value sharing food and have distinctive cuisines born from necessity and blending influences.
- Vibrant social life, music, dance, and storytelling: Celebration of life despite hardships ("joie de vivre" for Cajuns; communal drum dances, throat singing, and storytelling for Inuit). Both have rich oral traditions, festive gatherings, and music tied to identity. Cajuns are famous for fais-do-do dances and lively parties; Inuit for drum dances used socially and spiritually.
- Hospitality and friendliness to insiders (with some wariness of outsiders): Both are often described as welcoming once trust is built, but with a history of suspicion toward external authorities or rapid change due to past displacements/colonization.
- Rural, working-class, industrious yet relaxed pace: Emphasis on hard physical work (hunting/fishing) alongside a less materialistic, "enjoy life" outlook. Stereotypes of being "simple" or slow-paced exist for both, held by outsiders.
- History of displacement, colonization, and cultural resilience/revival: Inuit faced Danish colonialism, assimilation policies, and modernization pressures. Cajuns endured the Acadian expulsion (Le Grand Dรฉrangement), later Americanization efforts, and stereotypes. Both have seen language/cultural revitalization movements in recent decades.
- Catholic or Christian influence with folk/spiritual elements: Strong Catholic presence in Cajun culture (with unique local twists). Inuit have blended traditional animist beliefs (spirits in nature/animals) with Christianity.
@bcsteelheader@MMynden@Bitcoin_Teddy Typical liberal response, name calling when someone disagrees with you or doesn't think like you. You all turn into spoiled children. Walter you need to lighten up, only you are in control of your life. Not the US, not Trump, not someone on X that doesn't think like you.
This situation isnโt particularly newsworthy, as it won't have a real impact beyond today's coverage by liberal media, which tends to amplify less significant issues. How about reporting what's actually going on there? That's the newsworthy piece? Not the emotional triggering of the Blue Bag Lady. Having meltdowns in the street accomplishes nothing. As you could see in that video, it did nothing. And comparing Blue Bag Lady to Trump's ramblings is comical. He has a significant impact on nations around the world, including Greenland and your home country of Canada. Blue Bag Lady, not so much!
Life in Greenland isn't great for the 56,000 people who currently live there. They have one of the highest suicide rates in the world. Alcoholism is off the charts. Domestic violence is significantly high. Around 28% of young children have been exposed to domestic violence in the home. Sexual abuse in childhood is also a substantial issue. There is overcrowding in Nuuk, poor-quality housing (especially for seniors), and a lack of water/sanitation in many areas. The cost of living is high; imported goods are expensive. Unemployment exists alongside labor shortages, depending on the industry. The fishing industry is unstable due to quotas and harsh weather conditions. They seem to be in a world of hurt, even with the Danish subsidies. So I don't think the blue bag lady speaks for the majority of people there. I'm sure US relief would be welcomed if presented properly to the people. And I'm sure behind closed doors, that is all being discussed. What you see on the news isn't necessarily a good representation of the whole picture.
Yeah, it's almost like that. LOL You believe the lies that the Democrats have been spreading for 10+ years. The Dems align more with 1942 Germany than Trump does. The lockdowns during COVID were the Dems, the controlling of social media were the Dems (Biden Admin), the spying on Trump and his team was the Obama administration, who also spied on members of Congress and other world leaders by tapping into their phones. The propaganda war regarding Russia gate was the Dems. The attempts to eliminate Trump at all cost are the Dems. Cuomo and the death sentence he had on nursing home patients was another Dem fiasco. Get your head out of the sand regarding who aligns with 1942 Germany.
