Someone on the timeline yesterday triggered this post. You can actually build wealth in the stock market. You just need to know what, when, where, and how.
I made this MTN investment at ₦250 per share little over a year ago and has delivered an 18.4% dividend yield to date and 225% capital appreciation. I did a valuation play on MTN twice last year and shared both here.
Don’t listen to the naysayers. Deploy your funds like your life depends on it when you spot a valuable company trading at a massive discount. That is what I do!
This company paid an interim dividend of ₦5 and a final dividend of ₦15 for FY 2025. MTN just paid another interim dividend of ₦26, and there is a possibility of another ₦26 final dividend for FY 2026.
The yield on this investment, if you factor in the FY 2026 final payment, will eventually beat the return from most MMFs at my purchase price. This is not even taking into account the 225% capital appreciation.
Some of my followers would remember when I mentioned that some companies’ dividend yields would eventually beat those of MMFs at the prices they were trading at then, if you timed your entry point very well.
MTN was not alone on this table.
Knowing how, when, and where to rotate your funds should be your biggest flex as an investor.
You won't believe this!
Sometimes when the universe is ready to bless you... E go just be like say na jazz!
Even he himself couldn't believe his luck!
Beautiful moments in sport history!
The Dangote Refinery IPO will teach a lot of people important lessons about what to look out for when investing or making investment decisions.
Understand this: size and scale do not necessarily equate to great returns on investment.
Good example: OCTG & SSECCA
Both are good companies but different investment outcomes in terms of returns if you had invested in both 10 years ago.

Some criminals now clean off expiry dates of drinks and stamp a new one, while the useless @NafdacAgency does absolutely nothing to save the lives of innocent helpless Nigerians who will die from these fake expired unregulated drinks/drugs.

Femi needed ₦50,000 to expand his suya spot, two people offered to help.
By the end of this thread, you'll understand debt and equity better than the average person.
I was sent out of Canada
Yes that’s why I came back home a few months ago
Yep, you read that right.
So I came into Canada with a spousal open work permit. And when it was about to expire, we applied for an extension.
And we were just about our business waiting for the extension to come out only for us to get a rejection mail. This came at a crucial time as there was a change of government and rapid immigration policy changes.
Omo, everywhere first blur. Premium tears everywhere
We did not see it coming at all. And I had a few days to leave the country ASAP.
My husband wanted to start running around seeing how to appeal the rejection without me leaving but I just told him “babe let’s leave it. I’ll go.”
I was not sure what God was doing but I trusted Him. And so I came back to Nigeria.
I went about my Fathers business like nothing dey sup. Trusting the one who has called me.
Then the dots began to connect.
Then came Covabodi festival. You know how that went to the glory of God
Then came brand ambassadorial roles.
If I tell you the other things God helped me achieve in this trip ehn, you’ll open your mouth in wonder.
Like, I began to understand that Canada did not send me away. God brought me back to carry out specific assignments.
One morning we woke up and I got a email.
“Congratulations Deborah, you’re now a permanent resident of Canada”
Yup. You’re looking at the latest Canadian permanent resident.
When I flew into Canada last week, I bounced in there like a madam.
I’m sharing this testimony to let you know that you need to trust God completely with your life.
You see that scripture that says all things work together for good? I need you to believe it with everything inside of you
Your wedding plans scattered? It’s working for your good
They served you breakfast? It’s working for your good
You did not get that opportunity? It’s working for your good.
Be pro-active, play your part, send in the application, do all that you should do and leave the rest to God
You may not see what God is doing in the moment, but as long as you’re faithfully serving and following God, just trust Him.
The dots will connect
And you will look and say “oh, Father so this is what you had in mind.”
Celebrate with me jare. God don run am🥳🥳
PS: Peep my resident card🥰
Blessings!
