I've been craving sugar since I stopped drinking two weeks ago.

Going to start being healthy but have given myself a bit of leeway since getting sober.

Tonight, my wife discovered my secret stash of chocolate.

Better than the bad old days of her finding booze!

After a sober month I had a 1% alcohol drink. No harm done, I thought.

Then after a sober weekend I rewarded myself with just one beer.

That turned to 4 yesterday.

I'm annoyed but I've learned a valuable lesson.

You can't cheat the system. Day 1.

I'm a level of mental and physical fatigue that only complete peace, quiet and relaxation can solve - and I don't have that luxury unfortunately.

Might be time to take up meditation! 🧘‍♂️

Went for a quiet drink today. Asked for a San Miguel 0% on draft.

He handed it me and I noticed the Estrella tap (next to the San Miguel) was dripping.

I checked before taking a sip it was definitely the 0% and he said "Sorry, wrong one!"

I laughed it off but Jesus Christ...

You feel how you feel. I respect that and I'm so sorry.

But one thing I will say is this is how you feel now - and now is not forever.

Allow yourself to feel how you do but have faith that things can change - give yourself time x
