NIGHT HEALTH DISCUSSION
"Have you ever woken up at 2 or 3 a.m. for no apparent reason, then struggled to fall asleep again?"
Many people think it's only due to stress, or maybe that "your body just got used to it." In reality, there are several possible medical reasons.
Some include:
▪️Stress and anxiety
▪️Drinking alcohol or too much caffeine
▪️Sleep apnea (breathing briefly stops during sleep)
▪️Low blood sugar, especially in people with diabetes
▪️Frequent urination due to diabetes, prostate enlargement, or overactive bladder
▪️Acid reflux
▪️Certain medications
Occasionally waking up is normal. But if it happens regularly and leaves you tired during the day, it's worth discussing with a healthcare provider.
Discussion time: 👉 What usually wakes you up at night—snoring, needing to urinate, leg cramps, bad dreams, heartburn, or you simply don't know?
