Congratulations to the @vercel team for our latest funding round! Iβm proud to have helped lead through this meteoric growth and look forward to continued success from here.
Iβm now taking a little time off to spend with family and pursue new projects.π
Really proud of our team at @vercel. Their passion, vision, and hard work have created the best tooling for the modern web. And with the support of @GVteam, GreenOaks, Bedrock, and @GeodesicCap, we'll be taking that to a whole new level in 2021 and beyond. π
As we wrap up #nextjsconf, my heartfelt thanks to allβ¦
From the 34,500+ live attendees, speakers, sponsors, to the @vercel team & community, and, crucially, to those who gave us the important feedback on what to improve next.
We will share our learnings and future plans soon!
This is exactly why we created Next.js Analytics, because we've all been measuring the wrong things.
Let's use the Real Experience Score to usher in a new age of higher performance.
Let's build a better web.

We're determined to give back. Take part in these incredible collaborations: https://t.co/wueHuT56eB
All proceeds will go to amazing changemakers. Get ready for these drops right now!
Totally! And with @vercel, thatβs a git push. Only instead of going live immediately, you can push to a PR and get a preview URL first π€―π
You canβt believe how happy I am to know Iβll never need to set up a staging environment again.
Yikes. Iβm old enough to remember when editing a webpage meant changing the matching .html file in your public_html on the (single) production server, often sitting in your office machine room :)
Next.js brings us back to the simplicity (and fun) of early web development, and coupled with @vercel, you get the same simplicity of deployment as well (only safer!)
@daniel_levine I use a variation on https://t.co/mNabtOSwGc.
The most important thing is to use a minimal amount of oil. Put it on the warmed pan, then wipe it off with shop towel like you made a mistake putting it on there in the first place. Then bake, or season on the stove-top.
We're excited to welcome @Vercel to the #AccelFamily. We believe what AWS accomplished for backend developers, Vercel can do for the 11 million frontend developers. Read more from our partner @daniel_levine: https://t.co/rMmVgyaILw
@ChrisPaika@martinfowler A few ideas in the thread and replies. The most important is to avoid the trap of becoming transactional and 100% work focussed. Be intentional about slowing down and creating extra slack in your interactions that can be filled with human connection.
I've led remote-first for many years and it's not easy. The technical/logistical challenges can be solved, but the people challenges are huge. You can't assume all those small, important human interactions occur - you have to thoughtfully create opportunities for them to do so.
Remote work can be way more isolating... or surprisingly connecting. It's up to you and your team. Good luck to everyone in this challenging time!βοΈ
Don't pretend you're in a sanitized office. Share the view of the weather out your window, or the fact that your kids are home and are playing in the other room. It's ok!
