Getting rather excited for my Costa Rica trip. I've just booked an overnight trip to the Monteverde Cloud Forest with a local birding company part way through the holiday - should be amazing! π¦π¦π¦ββ¬π¦ π¦π¦πΈπͺ³
@Sibe4me@Alexander_Lees@MarburyBirds Our pond is very much depleted these days! We have the joy of emptying it and replacing the liner this winter.....
No singing in the shower for this YBW. Lots of full-on wing fluffing though!
@Sibe4me@Alexander_Lees@MarburyBirds We had a YBW vigorously bathing on a sycamore leaf in the garden the other morning. Looked to be thoroughly enjoying itself!
A couple of gravid Garden Cross Spiders (Araneus diadematus) found recently. Amazing to see the variation in colour! The pale one was really quite striking in person (in spider?). I've never seen one so pale.
Both beautiful ladies! π
More top work by our brilliant residential volunteers & staff. This time, creating a pond in Schipper's Field. Rarity predictions so far range from Swinhoe's Storm Petrel and Egyptian Plover to Lesser Yellowlegs, Solitary Sandpiper and a thirsty Ovenbird... what do you reckon?
Check out this #migfest24 highlights on this amazing short video created by @YorkshireThings over the weekend.

Very much looking forward to my day off tomorrow. The joys of being self-employed!!
Hoping to spend the day mopping up all the birds that haven't been found today... ππ
