#2 favorite project from the past year is Hungry Hungry Hippos with the EV3s! We’d added the touch sensors to move forwards/backwards. It reminded us of the game, so my co-teacher built the ring while the students & I added the ability to raise/drop the arm (aka the hippo mouth)!
#3 on the countdown of favorite projects from this past school year takes us back to Halloween for a #pygame! In #Python class, I always try to include a pygame since they're fun! In this game, our ghost throws pumpkins at the treat box until he hits it and the candy appears!
#4 on the countdown of favorite projects from the past school year: Akedo Battle! This year my son & his friends were playing with these #Akedo action figures. So we coded a Pokémon-style #battle with with the Akedo characters!

#6 on the countdown of favorite projects from this school year: #Godzilla! I hadn't seen any of these movies, and my Scratch students were talking about how much they loved them. So I watched a couple over that weekend, and we made some fun animations!

Next on the countdown of favorite projects from this school year: #7 is Compliments in 20 languages from #Python class. I wanted us to practice with libraries. Translate seemed like a fun one, but I wanted to make sure we weren't just making homework generators for Spanish class!
Continuing my favorite projects of the year countdown: #9 is the walking robots from our Final Project choice board. We challenged the students to research their own designs & loved seeing what they came up with!

As we reach the end of the school year, I’m going to countdown some of my favorite projects from the past year. #10 goes back to November when we made our own Macy’s parades in Coding with Scratch!

Being home with Covid means I have more time on my hands than usual. I've been doing the daily challenges on https://t.co/zUp6l98gUe. Today's challenge was "clock tower", so I had to represent #Denville!

In Computer Science, we had some downtime and everyone chose to play Google’s snake game. So I said we should build one ourselves in Scratch!
Looking forward to also building this with my Coding with Scratch kids this fall. There’s still time to register. https://t.co/PrHz7o3x4N
Thank you to everyone who has already registered for fall classes! Emails will be going out shortly with all of the Zoom information for classes.
If you have not registered yet, you still have a little bit of time: https://t.co/PrHz7o3x4N.
I’m looking forward to this event as both a Denville business and a Denville mom! Stop by Saturday to find out about all of the awesome enrichment activities our kids have available to them around town. And make sure to visit my table where we’ll talk about how fun it is to code!
