@EEANorwayGrants funded collaborative research project between
@UNIBUC, @UniOslo, @uvtromania and IFIN-HH, supported by @uefiscdi: #climatechange, #sealevelrise
Yesterday Mirela Vasile from the @UNIBUC team spoke about review on deep-seated landslides in the Carpathians under climate variability/change and their implication in hazard assessment during the conference @EuroGeosciences.

In April 14, part of UB team went for a UAV survey over Chirlești earth flow in the Curvature Subcarpathians, on the right bank of Buzău River. Two flights were made to cover the upper sector and the entire surface of the mudflow.
Between March 23 and April 5, the drilling campaign took place in the lower Danube Floodplain and in Central and South Dobrogea. Deep (18 to 55 m) boreholes were drilled in coastal barriers of Saturn, Eforie and Midia, and in former lakes within the lower course of the Danube.
Between 5 and 23 March 2022, a field campaign was conducted in in Central and South Dobrogea and in the Danube Delta. The objective of this campaign was the identification of potential deep-drilling points, that are scheduled in the following weeks.
Between March 13 and 24, 2022, the WUT(@uvtromania) team managed to perform out BTS campaigns in @Retezat and Parâng Mountains (@Romania). The purpose was to improve the density of BTS points targeting areas with possible @permafrost.🇷🇴🏔️
@ClimaLand aims to quantify the impact of climate change and extreme natural phenomena on landforms dynamics and geomorphological processes in Romanian Carpathians and Danube Delta from a multi-temporal perspective (Holocene to present time)
