#Climate dispute in our families is a topic that occupies many people, especially at Christmas. But how can we overcome #climateconflicts?
The climate psychologist Janna Hoppmann spoke to Zervakis und Openhövel about this. You can find the most important tips in the thread. 🧠
If you are curious about how you can increase your own #climateimpact and want to be inspired by positive stories, then definitely buy and read Gabriel's book (in German): https://t.co/tluGTQbxac.
Gabriel Baunach recently published his amazing book “Hoch die Hände, Klimawende“. A must read! 📖
He talks about how all of us can use our #climatehandprint to contribute to the climate transformation. You can also find Janna's impact story in the book.

What does #climateconcern really mean in Psychology? And how can we talk with children and youth about it in a good way? 😨
The latest AOK Magazin, the magazine of one of the biggest health insurances in Germany, was curious to hear some answers from @janna_hoppmann.
In her answers, Janna delves into what climate concern means and how to discuss the climate crisis with young people of all ages.
We can recommend the article especially for all parents who want to do the best for their children out there!
🤚No 3: Recognizing Everyone's Needs
A lot of groups with valuable insights in climate discussions are not acknowledged enough. This especially affects marginalized groups. It worsens decision making inequalities and the willingness for new groups to participate.
💡One part of climate psychology is questioning our own beliefs and broaden our view on justice.
🌍What does #ClimateJustice mean? Three dimensions:
1. Climate change costs are unequal
2. Empowering the Most Affected in Climate #Governance
3. Recognizing Everyone's needs
📣No 2: Empowering the Most Affected in climate governance
We should allow those most affected by climate change to actively participate in decision-making to address inequalities in climate policies and financing.
⚖️No 1: Climate change costs are unequal:
Climate change is particularly affecting vulnerable countries in the Global South. These countries are dealing with more environmental risks while not having the means to protect against them. This is widening the North-South wealth gap.

Without Pablo, a law student from the #Philippines, ClimateMind wouldn't exist.
My learnings from Pablo are 1) the role of our sense of togetherness for #climatechange, 2) how our inner #attitude for every action matters and 3) our need to tackle problems without giving up.
