This week, band student leaders from Clint HS, Horizon HS, and Mountain View HS came together for our district-wide Leadership Camp in collaboration with the Revival Music Project, a music education organization dedicated to developing student leaders and strengthening fine arts music programs.

Throughout the camp, students focused on leadership skills, communication exercises, team culture, rehearsal techniques, and strategies they will take back to their campuses to help lead a successful 2026 marching season.

Juneteenth National Independence Day to commemorate the end of slavery in the United States!

Our ACE Summer Program made a splash with an exciting Cardboard Boat Challenge that brought STEM learning to life! Middle school students designed, built, and raced their own cardboard boats, putting their engineering, science, math, creativity, and teamwork skills to the test. The event was filled with laughter, friendly competition, and unforgettable moments as students competed for awards recognizing race winners, outstanding creativity, and the always-popular "Titanic Award."

To make the day even more memorable, our Child Nutrition Services treated students to a delicious barbecue lunch featuring hamburgers, chips, fruit, and drinks. After the races, students enjoyed time swimming before heading back to campus. It was an amazing day of learning, fun, and celebration as we wrapped up another successful Texas ACE summer program!
