“We all have an ego”: Praggnanandhaa R. responds to Hikaru Nakamura’s claim that every elite chess player is arrogant and has a big ego.
Pragg says competitiveness naturally brings ego because every top player wants to win and hates losing-but that doesn’t mean everyone is arrogant.
He also stressed the importance of confidence without overconfidence:
“You shouldn’t be over-confident, but you shouldn’t be under-confident either. You should be confident about yourself but should also respect the game.”
For Praggnanandhaa, believing you can become the best is an important part of confidence-but ultimately, the real test is what happens on the chessboard.

Today, I give thanks to God Almighty for the gift of life, for His grace, and for the opportunity to serve.
As I mark another year, my heart is filled with deep gratitude to the good people of Edo State for the trust, prayers, support and goodwill you have continued to extend to me. I do not take this privilege for granted.
To serve Edo is both an honour and a responsibility I hold very close to my heart. Every day reminds me that leadership is not about the office one occupies, but about the lives one touches, the opportunities one creates and the future one helps to build.
I remain firmly committed to the development, progress and prosperity of our dear Edo State. Together, we will continue to build an Edo where our people can live with dignity, where our young people can dream boldly, where our farmers can thrive, where businesses can prosper and where every community has a reason to hope.
Thank you, Edo State, for the honour to serve you. May God continue to bless our people and our dear State.

To improve, you need to be able to analyse well.
When you play, you analyse in your head, but before that you learn how to do it by analysing by moving the pieces.
The Method teaches you both.
"All strong players know how to analyse." - Botvinnik.
