Round after round, i fought And now, the Nigerian National U20 Chess Champion is officially the South South Zonal Champion ♟️🏆
The comeback was personal.

What a finish in Uyo! This was an Open Championship featuring strong titled players including FM Bomo Lovet Kigigha and CM Benjamin Aruoture Omorere the yet three juniors finished tied on 6/7 points at the top!

🥉 Tyowase Tyover Collins — 6/7
For Clinton, this could be a massive result. His victory gives him a chance to play in the NCC Invitationals, buy winning the zonals based on tie breaks.

From South East �� North Central → South South, Collins has travelled across the country and finished Top 3 in all three zonal championships. Incredible consistency! 🔥

Pragg says competitiveness naturally brings ego because every top player wants to win and hates losing-but that doesn’t mean everyone is arrogant.

He also stressed the importance of confidence without overconfidence:
