All gravel has now been transported & leveled for the base of the new putting green, all ready for rootzone to be transported in next week.

All drains are now installed in the base of the putting green & gravelled up, 110m altogether. Also new irrigation system being fitted for the new putting green & 1st tee.

Drains being installed into the base of the putting green today. So far 60m of drainage has been installed.

All the topsoil & clay now removed from the putting green, a bit of work to be carried out on the base then drains will be installed.

Plenty going on today on the course with the greens being mown then solid tinned & then a autumn feed applied .Also moving the topsoil of the putting green which will be stored & reused.

The reconstruction of the putting green is now underway with the removal of the turf.

Day 3 of maintenance week, all greens have now had 3 applications of top dressing then dragmatted & brushed after each application. All tees have now been scariffied, vertidrained, topdressed & then dragmatted.

Day 2 of maintenance week, all greens have been cored, cleared, collected & two dressings applied then brushed. Work on the tees started with them vertidrained & scariffied.

Thanks to the volunteers who turned up this morning to help clear the cores of the greens, it makes a big difference having the help.All greens now cored & cleared & the 1st application of dressing is now under way.

First competition day of the McGregor trophy 2026, big effort by the team over last couple of days carrying out course preparation working 14hrs both days then in this morning at 4am for day 1.

At the end of the golfing season the course furniture is brought in & cleaned, repaired, sanded then 2 or 3 coats of oil added.This is a job that is done during the winter months that makes a big difference to the presentation to course the following season.
