Reflections of a better life, projected bright, against the window pane, while we stand, cold and bitter, in the darkness, waiting for our moment to shine #micropoetry
Cold sheets, empty space,
your warmth lingers in the dark,
a ghost by my side.
I reach out through the silence,
longing for you beside me.

Bronze-red with salt-tinged hair, she lies in the softest, dappled sunlight, a goddess draped in golden light on a bed of sand, with blue sky eyes, a vision, whose smile conjures mine, and whose easy laughter rolls in waves #poem#micropoetry
How can I miss you, when I still see you every time I close my eyes, how can I miss you, when every dream, every song, every scent, brings back memories of you, nestled into my arms, when I can remember, every moment, every sigh, every smile, every laugh. But I do. I miss you. Kx
It’s in those moments, those tiny, unremarkable moments, scattered throughout the mundanity, with a smile, a kiss, a touch, you cause my heart to soar and swell, as if our love was an ocean wave, forever cresting, forever growing, a deep, powerful force of nature. #micropoetry
After silence,
Cold shoulders,
Quiet regret,
Eggshells,
Bottled-up pain,
To be with you,
Is to walk into the sunshine,
Free from a darkness,
Of my own creation,
To be with you,
Is to breathe deep,
After holding my breath,
To be with you,
Is all I want,
All I dream of.

Unaware of her own luminousness, her beauty and grace, she looks in the mirror but cannot see, the light she casts so effortlessly, she is the only ten in my eyes, but she cannot see, and mutters ‘a six - at best’. I wish I could lend her my eyes, so she would understand and see.
Nature’s filigree
Naked in winter’s embrace
Shadowed and enveloped
In half-light
Dappled moonlight
Turning
Skeletal fingers
Upwards
Clawing the dark
Awaiting
Impatient
For dawn’s kiss
And a long dreamed promise
Of spring

There are moments I know I will remember forever / seconds / or a look / a single gaze / a smile / burned forever / into my memory / easily conjured / as if never far / etched in my heart / bringing a joy unknown / a new found love #love#poetry#micropoetry
Love, a simple word, breaking well-worn routines, bringing passion and excitement, freeing hearts from the bleakness of history’s hold, defibrillating lost souls back to the living, strange to whisper together, to hold, to lose oneself in another #micropoetry#love
The dark tangle wood of love, briars and thorns, her gaze, a dance of azure, two pools of morning sky, darkened now, holding me in a whispered love story, love song, glowing in the night, afire in the candlelight, a haven and heaven #micropoetry#love#poetry
In the quiet, darkness, the gentle patter of rain, I fall into thinking about you again, holding you, trying to remember the smell of your hair, the pattern of freckles on your back, lost within your smile, lost within you, falling and fallen #micropoetry#poem
A gentle, idle touch,
Running my fingers down your arm,
My knee resting on your leg as we sit almost entwined,
Your head close to my shoulder,
A normal everyday moment,
A coffee,
A conversation,
But my heart stops,
Then pounds,
As you gaze at me,
Smile at me.

Sometimes you have to be broken, to be made anew, sometimes you have to sink, to find what raises you back up, sometimes you have to be brave, to take that first step, to place your tender heart in another’s hands without fear. #micropoetry
Laying in my arms, with the biggest smile, eyes looking up at me, sleepy, sated, we didn’t speak but I hope you heard my heart sing, I hope you heard my heart break a million times, realising I never wanted it to end. #micropoetry
Fitting together perfectly, the broken halves of two lives, shattered by life and unnecessary cruelty, restored and resplendent, more beautiful than before, complete at last. #micropoetry
In dreams, I find you.
In dreams, you are mine.
Am I the dreamer?
Or is this the dream
we are forever doomed to tread
together yet apart

The crystallised, fossil heart - deadened, splinters with green roots twisting up, through the detritus, through the muck and mire - to reach upwards, pleading for light, for breath, warmth and life. #poetry#micropoetry#autumn#spring
Twisted boughs set leaves to flight as the last breath of October rattles and shakes - warm, dying, fetid breath whispering between cracked, broken lips - before Winter’s kiss goodbye #poetry#micropoetry#autumn
