@charl32647@d_ktalkballs The “good bloke” bollocks.
True great managers are not nasty and are generally empathetic but they are not “everyone’s mate” they have distance
Has anyone seen this man yet?
Unless I've missed it, he's not uttered one syllable on the captain's retirement.
Too busy shoring up his own position?
K*y out.

🚨 Carlo Ancelotti on why he did not celebrate wildly after Gabriel Martinelli’s late winner for Brazil against Japan:
🗣️ “People asked me why I didn’t celebrate, but football is also about respect. Yes, we were happy to win, but I looked across and saw a Japanese team that had given absolutely everything. They fought with incredible courage, and I know exactly how painful a defeat like that can be.”
“Of course I celebrated inside because my responsibility is to Brazil and qualifying was our objective. But I’ve been in football for many years, and I’ve experienced both victory and heartbreak. Sometimes the best way to respect your opponent is to remain humble in your biggest moments.”
“Japan made us suffer for ninety-five minutes. They deserved our respect, not exaggerated celebrations. Brazil are through, but we know we must improve. Tonight we celebrate the qualification, but tomorrow we go back to work because the World Cup only gets more difficult from here.”

@_PaulHayward It’s plausible because he clearly despises the current “management” and I suspect one who is usually found lumbering his fat gut around a golf course with his mates in the media
'Enough is enough. With Ben Stokes walking off into the sunset and results getting worse and worse, now is the time for a complete clear-out'
@MichaelVaughan argues England must call time on the architect and enabler of ‘Bazball’ 👇

The wrong man has gone: Stokes quits while Key and McCullum survive for now
Sad day for the game. Such appalling management on and off field https://t.co/SuuSxvDqNZ
@AzeemRafiq30@johnny5raimondi Good observation. And that’s a why he’s useless for the job
Yes he’s very much one for face fitting golfing “good blokes”.
@tobynutt@scyldberry I suspect you're right, this is Stokes - and his team - sticking 2 fingers up at Rob Key, a man Stokes doesn't respect, and who Stokes feels has let him down over the nightclub incident.
I don't agree with how they've batted, it's disrespectful to NZ, but it is sending a signal.
