It’s now confirmed Lincoln City have had Mays elections cancelled, barring the legal challenge from Reform UK. This is completely wrong, North East Lincolnshire are going ahead with their elections in the same combined authority area. I now call on all those councillors who should have been going through re-election to stand down and force democracy back into Lincoln City.

Those involved are either complicit or complacent, my guess, like many others, is that they are both.

Where were they yesterday?

I sat through the Home Secretary's statement on the Grooming Gang Inquiry yesterday and came away with a couple of things that need highlighting.

Despite the fact that Muslim men of Pakistani heritage are disproportionately responsible for the vast majority of these vile crimes in on white working class women there was no reference to this in her statement. She simply said 'Asian'.

It's an insult to the vast majority of Asian people.

Secondly not one single male Muslim MP of Pakistani heritage turned up to speak on behalf of the victims.
