The experimental BCL-2 inhibitor, lisaftoclax, was well-tolerated and had a beneficial effect in patients with CLL / SLL, and the combination of lisaftoclax plus acalabrutinib seems very effective and offers the convenience of a five-day versus the five-week ramp-up of venetoclax.

How are Part D plans responding to changes in Medicare, and what can your office do when coverage is denied or delayed?
On August 12, two policy and access experts take both questions on. Saira Sultan, JD, President and CEO of Connect 4 Strategies and Director of Government Affairs and Public Policy at CLL Society, and Kay Scanlan, JD, Principal at Consilium Strategies, will share practical steps healthcare providers can use to navigate coverage barriers, plus how to alert advocacy organizations to the systemic obstacles your office faces.
Have a coverage challenge you keep running into? Submit it in advance by Monday, August 10 and the moderator may put it to our speakers. Please keep questions clear and broadly relevant, and leave out personal medical details.
Hosted with the Association of Cancer Care Centers (@ACCCBuzz).

When a Part D plan decides which CLL therapy your patient can access, the deciding factor isn’t always clinical.
A Part D plan can make it decidedly easier or harder to prescribe one medication over another, and those decisions are sometimes grounded in financial considerations rather than clinical ones.
Join CLL Society and the Association of Cancer Care Centers (ACCC) on Wednesday, August 12 for a 60-minute webinar built for CLL care teams. Saira Sultan, JD and Kay Scanlan, JD will cover how Part D plans may be responding to changes in Medicare, what you and your staff can do to minimize disruptions and delays when coverage is denied or delayed, and how to alert advocacy organizations to the systemic barriers your office faces.
You will leave with steps you can use the next time a coverage decision threatens the treatment your patient needs.
12 PM ET. Registration is open.

Following its U.S. approval, BeOne Medicines’ BTK inhibitor is now available in a new tablet formulation for all approved indications, including chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and small lymphocytic lymphoma (SLL).
Replacing the previous capsule form, the tablets are smaller, film-coated, and designed for easier swallowing. While recommended dosing remains the same, including flexible once- or twice-daily dosing, patients can now take two tablets rather than the four capsules, reducing their daily pill burden.
