@GowagsKyle 100% agree. Tony Gwynn used it as a verbal cue, not a philosophy. He emphasized keeping lead shoulder down and in, hitting from corner with intent to accelerate barrel toward oppo, without doing those things- knob to ball creates more harm.
@BBGreatMoments His drill is nothing like his swing. In the drill he swing down and finishes down. In his real swing he clearly barrel tips into his turn and barrel accelerates behind him. This is HLP but peope take pros verbal cues as truth rather then the visual evidence
