@epiconyxfreak1 What I saw there was an over aggressive COG team that didn't know how to play their roles.
Marcus wasn't point, but didn't support SSCole.
Hoffman didn't give Gnasher cross fire from up top.
Lancer Cole didn't revive Marcus and was too close to support with Lancer.
Fell apart.
@KingAbzTV This makes me want a Locust Torturer Skin.
Its a Drone/Grenadier/Theron variant that sports leather hoods, hooks and blades. Have rings imbedded into their flesh, like theyre former slave pit workers resolved.
Which reminds me, we haven't seen any E-Day Grenadiers or Therons.
@epiconyxfreak1 2 players sharing the same piece of cover should have some level of tension, neither should he able to 1 shot the other without aiming fully, moving to the other side or yankin/ mantle kicking.
Similar to fighting games its about reading your opponent and making a call.
@epiconyxfreak1 I personally would want to lean into no.
Have the ability to use the Up and Back A, but being able to do shots like this ruins the purpose of cover. If you can just wrap shots around corners, why have the cover at all if not for movement?
@NomadicAllo Onyx Guard are the opposite, dark colors, stark voices, serious demeanor and smaller angular eyes have them leaning towards the untrustworthy side.
@NomadicAllo 3. Personality, most COG soldiers we see in game are a tad goody and light hearted, they ease tension against their unmasked heros that tackle the dark side of the story.
4. Eye design, all Gear helmets showcase a larger bright round eye hole, which we makes them approachable.
@PaulLivo Map design and movement systems when merged well will create these styles, be it bouncing, flanking, strafing, sliding or climbing.
I believe the new movement system could be fantastic! But we will have to feel it before any true choices can be made.
@PaulLivo The removal of bouncing is something I no longer want, I used too when I was petty, but now I would prefer a blend of strategies that allow for varied playstyles while leaning into Gears' very aggressive nature.
@Cerulle T-Bow has an arrow with the bolt for an active, which probably means its charge time reduces.
The Locust Modified Lancer has 2 barrels, so its ROF will likely double.
Hammer burst has a 3 round symbol, so burst fire.
Weapon icons also show the weapon mod, Lancer gets a stock.
@Cerulle Buddy of mine and I looked over damn near every frame for weapon details and the Snub does get an extended mag, but it also has a lug lock on the barrel & a pic rail for under muzzle add ons. So there could be lasers or flashlights.
Active symbol shows what the active does too.
@PaulLivo You've got alot of passion thats directed with rationality. I appreciate that, which honestly is a more common response as of late, a few of the more vocal Gears Community members ive seen this past week have been super optimistic, at face value, about the new movement system.
