@pigkid@AndrewScheer Maybe it’s a coincidence but when I did work full time under Harper I was paying more at income tax time, same job same hours under liberals I was at least getting 100$ back instead of paying 300. Harper basically encouraged me not to work legally.
@pigkid@AndrewScheer I’m not trying to put liberals on a pedestal by anymeans, they’re two sides of the same coin. I was younger when Harper was in office and I worked his system, I got 10K between two years that I worked off the books and only legally a few months just enough not to get taxed.
@pigkid@AndrewScheer Healthcare is provincial. A number of years ago now small town hospitals were dwindling to the point we had to go further and further just to see a doctor or go to a hosptial. Within the last 10 years especially. In the last year though we now have 3+ doctors at mylocalhospital
@pigkid@AndrewScheer That’s always the excuse I get from conservatives and maybe it’s true but now they’re complaining we’re not spending money on random things. Conservatives in my life always say “liberals over spend so conservatives are forced to cut costs and healthcare is one of the ways.
@pigkid@AndrewScheer What happens? This is a conservative saying the government should be spending more money funding research that tells farmers how to farm. How is cutting off funding, a spending addiction. Conservatives constantly cut healthcare when given the chance but this, no way.
@AndrewScheer Most farmers don’t need government funded research to tell them how to farm. I thought conservatives wanted less government intervention. Now they’re advocating for more?
@MarcDalton I believe he even said Canadians would judge based on groceries among other things. Would judge based on multiple things is different than could judge 1 single metric.
@RobNunn3@MarcDalton I believe he even said Canadians would judge based on groceries among other things. Would judge based on multiple things is different than could judge 1 single metric.
@RiseOfAlberta Norway has large stakes in oil company. Alberta does not. The conservatives who complain about the liberals and wanting to seperate are also the ones that advocate privatization then wonder why Alberta doesn’t have more oil money.
@ryangerritsen@WarrenCWade Who would look at it that way. Any number of countries we get immigrants from, the US has 2-10x as many immigrants from that country as Canada does.
@hadron66@MarkReid42 Hence the quotations haha trump says all that, Carney probably playing ‘if our trade means subsidizing then we’ll diversify our trade elsewhere as much as we can and that’ll create a strong Canada that helps make America great again’
