When dreamers protested Obama campaign offices in 2012, we won DACA. Obama caved, and we didn’t wreck the election. This play is worth running again for an arms embargo.
Pretty sure insulting/dismissing voters - even if they’re annoying you, disrupting you, protesting you - in a key swing state isn’t the best way to win that state. Assuming that they *have* to vote for you, otherwise Trump will win, doesn’t work. Just ask Hillary Clinton 🤷🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
This is a bad faith response to people who just want to end a genocide, and want her to commit to that. Some Democrats are already running with "she told them" but that bad faith engagement is also alienating and harmful.
This is a stupid and heartless response. Why not acknowledge that what's happening in Gaza is horrifying, and say you want to beat Donald Trump so you can stop it.
I don’t want to hear anything about human rights in the future. It has always been a tool to prosecute their adversaries and nothing more. That is clear now. The consequences for current western and Israels behavior will be felt for decades from now. No country will ever take anything serious anymore from any institution or court ! It will all come back as a boomerang. world war 3 will be inevitable, because no country will ever accept anything from the west, UN or any institution from now on. They will always use Israels Genocide as a pretext to not comply with anything !
When Israel bombed the first hospital in Gaza the world would not believe it.
Israel said it was a misfired Hamas rocket and the mainstream media went into protection mode.
Israel has now destroyed all 36 hospitals in Gaza… and not a single word of condemnation from the mainstream media or western governments…🇮🇱🇵🇸
I am on the cover but I am the last one to receive it.
2023 man of the year by @GQMiddleEast magazine.
I never thought I would see it in person, but I made it.
Believe me or not, the moment I received a message that I have been selected to be man of they year by one of the most important magazines in the world, I couldn’t care less about it.
As I wasn’t sure I would survive the brutal aggression on my beloved Gaza by Israeli occupation.
All I cared about is to survive and show the world the raw realities.
I even couldn’t be able to thank who appreciates me and support me.
I was in a miserable situation for the last 107 days, and believe me I’m not in my best situation for now.
Thanks for GQ Middle East and thanks for the people who shared their words about me through the magazine., this was really nice surprise.
Take a moment to pounder the unreal lack of self-awareness it takes to conclude this article 👇 with these words: "a powerful but troubled China is heading in a bad direction. It will take all the strength and sobriety the United States and its friends can muster to prevent a slide into war."
So the US is apparently the sober, reasonable actor on the global stage, trying to prevent war, whilst China would be this hubristic and troubled force, eager for conflict. China, which hasn't as much as fired a single bullet on foreign soil in 45 years, vs the US which has been in 13 wars in the 21st century alone, the immense majority of which it directly caused.
Just pure unadulterated Orwellian stuff.
Enough time has passed since October 7 for Israeli media to state what we’ve been saying for over three months, which is that Israel’s military and political leadership fabricated many of the grisliest Hamas atrocities in order to generate support for the genocidal war it planned in Gaza. Here, a Channel 13 panel including Mickey Rosenfeld, the longtime Israeli police spokesman who spread many such lies after October 7, acknowledges that lurid stories of babies hung on clotheslines, a fetus cut from a pregnant woman, a baby baked in an oven, and more were invented “to increase the magnitude of hatred for Hamas.” As Rosenfeld put it, “The war is not only military, not only political, it’s mainly media.”
Channel 13 manages to elicit a statement of contrition from the IDF spokesman, who apologizes for “describ[ing] a reality that didn’t happen.” Of course, confessions like these are easy when the damage has already been done.
If the ICJ cannot accept that this is at the very least ‘plausibly’ genocidal, then there is no doubt that the court is a tool of US hegemony and should be disbanded at once and never considered as a court of justice again
This is why I called for a ceasefire early. This is why I voted against war in Iraq.
Violence only begets more violence. We need a ceasefire now to prevent deadly, costly, catastrophic escalation of violence in the region.
US & UK bombing one of the poorest countries in the world, Yemen, for defending one of the most persecuted people in the world, Palestinians, undergoing a genocide supported by the US & UK.
