MUSE TAMAGOTCHI - let’s get it! Guide incoming! @muse
I likely can even program the ability to have my Muse evolve based on my reaching goals that I set for myself! With open-source software, you can design it to be however you want it. With AI, the possibilities are essentially limitless.

Also, if you're new here, hi! I'm Harper. I've spent a decade building AI as a Stanford computer scientist and coding AI systems at Meta & at a startup acquired by NVIDIA. I've always loved to teach, and now I get to create educational videos to share the skills, understanding, and intuition I've worked years to develop with you.

AI is everywhere. Value is not.
89% of organizations now use AI in at least one business function.
Only 37% report a positive impact on earnings.
That gap tells us almost everything about the current state of enterprise AI.
The problem is no longer access to models.
Companies have models.
They have copilots.
They have agents.
They have pilots everywhere.
What many still don't have is a redesigned operating model.
Because real AI value requires:
→ different workflows
→ different governance
→ different accountability
→ different economics
Deploying AI is easy.
Redesigning a company around AI is much harder.
And that is where the next competitive advantage will come from.
AI adoption is becoming a commodity. AI transformation is not.

Debian Patched 1,313 Flaws in Massive Update Leading to DoS and Privilege Escalation Attacks
Details: https://t.co/CagKcHhMWs
Debian has released a major Linux kernel security update covering 1,313 CVE entries, addressing flaws that could allow privilege escalation, denial of service, and information leaks.
The fixes are available for Debian’s stable release, Trixie, in Linux source package version 6.12.111-1. Security team member Salvatore Bonaccorso published advisory DSA-6528-1 on September 29, 2026. Debian recommends upgrading the affected linux packages.
Importantly, the update prevents potential attacks; the advisory does not say that installing it causes security problems or that attackers have exploited these flaws in the wild.

Where AI will disrupt the wealth management value chain
AI won’t hit wealth management evenly: Standardized advice is far more exposed than complex, relationship-driven work
The more bespoke the service, the safer it is:
Trust, judgment and complexity remain harder to automate
Bolting AI onto old processes only gets you so far:
The real gains come from rebuilding workflows around AI
AI-first firms should pull ahead fast:
Lower costs, better margins, more customization and stronger pricing power
Bad data will kill the opportunity:
Siloed systems and fragmented infrastructure will keep firms stuck in pilot mode
The advisor role is changing:
Less process management, more oversight of AI, with humans focused on the decisions that actually matter
Light green: primary AI
Dark green: AI augmented (50%+AI)
Grey: human led (10-20% AI)
Green dot: top opportunities

We are back to daily Claude updates!
Claude Code now has a “You should know” plugin that brings in a second agent to flag important details you might miss. Nice
Most CFOs are still watching tutorials from a year ago while the tools have already changed twice.
This list is current as of now, Agent Mode included.

If the existing cash flow is the whole story, you're paying for the past, not the future
Most people think Claude's biggest risk is a wrong number.
It's actually number 18 here: Claude will not push back on a bad brief, it just does what you asked.
The guardrails are yours to build.

blown away by recent openai growth -- just bonkers top line expansion https://t.co/hKjQQNj6EB
of course we want gaap numbers not reported run rate figures, but the momentum is pretty insane regardless
5 AI Concepts You Can Learn Through Research Papers
You don't need to read every AI paper ever published.
A few foundational papers can teach you how modern AI systems actually work.
Here are 5 concepts worth learning through papers:
this is pure f*cking treasure
A Stanford AI research group finally drew the perfect RAG system: retrieval, Jev and agents in one loop, and it fixes the 3 things that break every RAG app:
> the LLM reads 20 passages when only 3 matter
> it answers questions your docs can't answer
> it trusts whatever text it retrieves
here's how it runs:
> a lead agent sends the query
> hybrid search pulls the top 20 candidates, dense + keyword
> ONE Jev request scores all 20 + 2 gates: answerable? injection?
> only passages above 0.6 reach the writer agent
> a second Jev call checks every claim against its source
> grounded answer, with citations
and when the docs don't have it:
> answerable fails, the writer never runs
> a researcher agent rewrites the query and retries once
> still nothing? "not in the docs". zero tokens spent on a guess
retrieval casts the net. Jev decides what's real. agents do the work
save this before you build your next RAG
I bought an accounting firm with 2 other partners for just under $2M.
It was owned by multiple partners who wanted to stay on for at least a few years after the transition.
We didn't have to worry about taking on everything you need to do to run a business.
The owners had also spent years developing systems and processes.
Because of that, my operating partner, who took over the day-to-day, wasn't in the business full-time.
He didn't live in Kentucky, where the firm was. He flew out from Florida periodically to check in, make sure the team was doing well, and make big decisions.
That was possible because of the way we selected the deal.
So if you want to buy your first business, find deals where the owners will stay on for a period of time after the acquisition, or where a general manager is already running the day-to-day.
🚨 A High-severity OpenSSL bug can leak heap memory to a DTLS peer or crash the process, OpenSSL says.
It can happen when the resend timer fires while a larger handshake message is stuck mid-send.
Latest releases fix 13 other flaws: 1 Moderate, 12 Low.
