Despite what most people believe, if you do encounter a gorilla, one of the best things to do is to act small and helpless. Gorillas are social animals and prone to adopt other animals that they see as in need or helpless. They are also patriarchal. So, the fact that this male gorilla came across what it sees as a small hairless ape that needs help and made the decision to be nice to him ensured his survival.

perfect encapsulation of boys' disrespect of women. she's clearly older but they're infantilizing her. SHE took charge and tried to get the elevator moving again/communicate with the outside, yet these prepubescent chuds are giggling because they know she doesn't feel safe.

This man thinks that women somehow don’t get as sick as men do, simply because we don’t have the luxury of lying around moaning and groaning like the world is coming to an end whenever we don’t feel well. Newsflash, my guy — we get just as sick as you do, and feel just as bad. The difference is that we don’t have anyone to take care of us because we’re the ones who take care of everybody else.
