Oh and don't egg me on about how I'm misgendering Jaxx, she's a fictional character, she doesn't have feelings for me to hurt, I just wanted to share how i saw the character
I personally don’t like that they made her trans.
I preferred Jaxx as someone whose true self wanted to present more effeminately, but trauma forced him into a masculine front.
Didn’t have to be trans, but I respect the creator’s choice nonetheless
I’ll keep my headcanon, since the show itself doesn’t explicitly prove that he's trans (as far as I know)
I liked the idea of Jaxx being insecure about presenting effeminately, because men can be feminine without being trans too. I found that relatable and interesting because it showed how some guys feel pressured to act more traditionally masculine, and how insecure it can make you feel when you don’t fit that mold. Being a man doesn’t have to mean fitting into traditional masculinity
Not saying this to disrespect trans people or argue against anyone else’s interpretation, just explaining why that particular reading of the character appealed to me.
If you find Jaxx being trans relatable to you then that's amazing, I'm glad you feel that way
@OtakuEspiritu I think most people are moreso gonna be annoyed by the polygamy with this new season. That's a big complaint a lot of anime viewers had with the ending of the previous season
But yeah the p word is still gonna get thrown around ofc
