#Peddi A COLOSSAL DISASTER OF EPIC PROPORTIONS!
I walked into the theater expecting a ground-breaking cinematic masterpiece, but Peddi turned out to be an unendurable, loud, and utterly soul-crushing experience.
The script is a chaotic mess. Director Buchi Babu Sana attempts to blend a rustic sports drama with loud commercial mass elements, but the fusion fails miserably. The storytelling is completely outdated. The pacing is a nightmare—the film drags endlessly across its massive runtime with scenes that feel completely disconnected from each other.
#RamCharan tries his absolute best, and his physical dedication is visible, but even his stardom cannot salvage this sinking ship. He is trapped in a poorly written, highly loud character that lacks any real emotional depth.
#JanhviKapoor’s performance is entirely forgettable. Her character feels forced into the narrative purely for song sequences and outdated melodrama. There is zero on-screen chemistry between the leads, making the entire romantic track painful to watch. The supporting cast is completely wasted in caricaturlike roles.
Technically, the film is an assault on the senses. The cinematography is over-saturated, and the editing is incredibly choppy, jumping randomly between scenes. AR Rahman’s musical score is surprisingly a major letdown here; the background music is deafeningly loud, desperately trying to create hype in scenes that are completely flat and lifeless.
Overall, Peddi is an absolute wreck and a massive waste of talent, time, and money. It is an uninspired, agonizingly long film that fails on every single level. Do yourself a favor and avoid this theater disaster entirely.
#Peddi A watchable commercial entertainer with an honest story that works in parts despite its regular template narration!
The first half is fairly average with template commercial elements, and Jahnvi’s track doesn’t work. However, the stretch from the pre-interval to the end of Massa Massa is the film’s biggest highlight and is executed well. Post that, the film drags with ups and downs, though the climax is wrapped up neatly.
Ram Charan is terrific and clearly carries the film. His transformation and effort are evident throughout. ARR’s music works well and is another highlight. Buchi Babu Sana succeeds in presenting an honest story, but the screenplay and editing could have been better.
Has its share of flaws, but can be watched with expectations in check for Ram Charan’s performance, the music, and the honest story.
Rating: 2.75/5
Dear @RishabhPant17 , this might be a testing IPL season for you.
If you rise, you redefine yourself;
if you fall, questions will follow.
I stopped watching cricket after @SGanguly99 retired, but returned when he led Delhi Capitals as a director, and saw a spark of Dada in you.
I still remember that moment, Rishabh Pant... the match where you played that winning knock, and Sourav Ganguly walked onto the ground and lifted you, just like he once did with Mohammad Kaif @MohammadKaif in England.
That wasn’t just celebration… that was belief being passed on.
You carry that legacy. Now it’s your time to rise, lead, and finish what legends started.
Come on, Dada’s boy We are Waiting for your come back
