@stomababe@wembleystadium To be fair to venues, most of these issues are people-based. Venues can take steps to support, but they can't fix this.
It's annoying at gigs when people go & push to get back to their 'spot'.
Your explanation would excuse it for many I think , including me. But not for all.
@BBCSport Maybe I don't understand football anymore but a player standing in the middle of the goal a yard off is clearly offside. Of course he's interfering with play.
Jermaine Jenas, what are you on about. If that isn't interfering with play, then I literally do not understand this sport anymore. That obviously should be disallowed. Obviously. He's standing in the middle of the goal! #Euro2024#NEDFRA
@inglisdrev82 Think you're right and also right that the fact that it's free to air is the most important. But yes. It doesn't feel in any way authentically passionate. Like a lot of sport now.
@inglisdrev82 I think on terrestrial, bar Chapman, it's just boring. No one is brave or different. Probably the fault of social media and things being clipped but still. I can't remember anything any of them have ever said.
@maitlis Starmer could have been more assertive and Etchingham should have halted proceedings to allow a rebuttal, but the issue is the prime minister lying - that should be the story.
@RobDix12 @inglisdrev82 Agree totally Rob, I used to think Persad was poor on BBC but he's far better now. It would be interesting if they decided to appeal to their core fanbase. I know they won't do it, but it would be interesting. Ex-sportspeople are often poor broadcasters.
@inglisdrev82 Like a lot of sport now - too corporate, too ££ focused = no longer special. Derby and the FA Cup Final are probably the best two examples.
We know that it would be 'better' if they moved it back to a Wednesday. Parliament used to take the afternoon off for it. But they won't.
@BBCPolitics@BBCOne Can't help thinking this show would be better with 1-2 guests. 5 is too many to be insightful.
Would love to see this with just Cleverly and Reeves.
@BBCMOTD Tired of the 'it's not VAR it's the people using it' line
Most officiating decisions are SUBJECTIVE. That's why VAR can never fully 'work'
Goalline tech - yes. Offsides - maybe, if they tweak the rules. The rest - you'll always have controversy. Opinions will always differ.
@jode2k75 I'm still astonished Pullin and the team at Cheltenham weren't criticised more for when they watered at the Festival a couple years back before it tiled it down and they needlessly raced on heavy ground. Amazing this is only a conversation happening now, really.
@NathyC98@RoadCheltenham@holworthyfarm I replied to the other guy so only fair to do the same here. You must see how this is a false equivalency? Scott should say we're retiring DD because Sire DB took a false step and suffered a bad injury. Do you think all horses over 11 should retire? Come on now.
@stillycrizzy@RoadCheltenham@holworthyfarm That is the stupidest comment of the year that barely deserves an answer. But to give a short one - no. It's not relevant. Obviously.
@BBCSport All of you and your players take a 50% wage cut then and lose all the cash from the media rights.
Oh sorry, what's that? Ah I see.
You want the sickening wealth AND the easy life. Got you.
