I've been saying this since endwalker, SE has ridden the highs from ShB for too long and has not innovated enough content at a respectable pace. They have fallen behind as a subscription based game and people are realizing they are not getting their money's worth each month.

If people lost their in game houses, you'd see a mass exodus of unsubs too. What's adding insult to injury is the fact the mobile games UI is 100x better than retail, these are one of many QOL improvements we should have gotten at launch with Dawntrail. Going a decade without any meaningful updates to the spaghetti code, social UIs and menus, enhancements to existing features.

Msq aside, we have an antiquated game showing its age and enough people have said something to combat the loyalists who see nothing wrong with what we've got.

It's like 2 months of paying a sub for non updates or buy a new game? Oh but I have a house, better not unsub!

Waiting until 8.0 for big changes will cause a lot of people to leave before that happens. Ffxiv is already on a declining path.
