Been in and out over the years and made some really good money early. But I really think this is the transformational turning point $CLOV is making right now for a longer term hold. It's definitely on a burner rn.
Yes, it's small, but that means growth, and they're a disruptive AI focused Medicare Adv provider (in an industry that desparately needs it)...
But even more interestingly, they're about to start selling their best in class proprietary software (recently spawned a software subsidiary called Counterpart Assistant @counterparthlth) ...that has helped them achieve industry leading Medical Cost Ratios (aka, they help keep healthcare costs as low as possible in a space that really needs it rn)
...Counterpart will sell it as a standalone product to the very largest providers (e.g. UNH, Humana, etc) in markets they're not registered to compete in, which is literally most of the US (they're only primarily in NJ, GA, PA and just a couple other states currently),
...so there is a huge software SaaS component to it that could create a hybrid valuation model (healthcare is generally on the low end of the spectrum at ~1x range revenue to valuation, Software, however, is more like 8-20X+ and AI is even more stupid at 50x+ and they're all 3)
So we don't know all of details yet on the software piece, but it's loading, and I believe that once it's fully announced, it could really rocket.
This is not advice to enter, but might want to keep an eye on it.

My post from November of last year just crossed my feed; turns out my analysis was pretty much spot on with $CLOV net income falling smack dab in the middle of the range I predicted. Best part - I didn’t need a $15K terminal sub to do this!! The future is bright baaaaabyyyyyyy!
Spent the weekend modeling out 2026 profit for $CLOV
With VERY conservative assumptions, I see them falling somewhere in the blue with quarterly GAAP profit between $11M and $45M. A $200M GAAP profit year is totally possible!
Best thing is this is only MA!

@GhostOfLaszloJ This speaks to the financial literacy of the company. It’s becoming evident they understand these levers, and are deploying capital generated on the back of profitable MA business to fund growth of their next big rev driver in Counterpart. The signs are all there brochacho!!
