the war between man and birdnar has been waged a great many times over our shared history. is it not a sort of microcosm of the war we wage against ourselves? for just as the birdnar's instinct and cunning face off against the man's superior intellect, so to do we find ourselves locked in a never-ending battle between desire and discipline.
of course, taking the metaphor one step further, the introduction of the "ultra high-powered laser arm defense system" is akin to a hearty dose of amphetamines straight to the veins, skewing this war of "land vs. air" heavily in land's favor.
it was precisely this lesson which our good friend the dapper toodybird learned while out on a crime spree early this afternoon— and whether due to greed, carelessness, or simple inattentiveness, toodybird found himself caught in the crosshairs of one such humble aqua-culturist's brand new self defense gadget, intended solely for dispatching wayward toodybirds in search of a quick meal.
is it this humble toodybird's fault that he found himself in this situation? can he truly be blamed for what instinct commands him to do?

hey, just a heads up. if you're ever in the vicinity of the snapsqueak creek, do yourself a favor and avoid making eye contact with the toodybird locals. can't really explain it, just... it's best if you don't find out yourself.
