This Saturday is the Walk to End Alzheimer's, Uptown. I will be walking in honor of my wife, Gloria who had this terrible disease. I'd like to invite you to join me or you may sponsor me by clicking here. Thank you sincerely.

Now you've done it.
Another day in Charlotte traffic is over. Well unless you're still driving. We'll reload the roll and be ready to clean up the mess again tomorrow morning at 4:29. See you then.
This is I-85 at Graham Street exit 41. The traffic headed away from us is Southbound...and the reason its so heavy is a wreck in the LEFT lane before Statesville Rd.
EXTREMELY dry air is being found at the center of Supertyphoon Champi.
The drier the eye, the stronger the storm.
All that air rising in the eyewall collides with the tropopause, or ceiling of the lower atmosphere. Some of that air sinks back down, subsiding and drying.
That punches out the hollow eye, eroding clouds and leading to a hot, dry pillar in the middle of the storm.
@cow_traffic Thank you very much for the totally accurate report, Cow. I always say you are the most accurate Cow traffic reporter in Northern York County. I am a little concerned by your choice of graphics though. Somewhat concerned.
โMORE: I-485 OL before exit 61, Johnston Rd,
the THREE RIGHT lanes are blocked. that means only the toll lane is open...and it is just beyond my camera range.

I was wondering why traffic was slowing down here on John Belk Freeway inner loop headed down the hill toward I-77...it's the classic accordion effect, where someone near the front of the line hits the brakes or changes lanes...it filters back through the line of traffic.
This looks pretty orderly to me. I am proud of y'all I-85 drivers headed toward Gaston and Cleveland Counties. Average speeds are a little higher too, 17 mph! Sizzlin'!
