At my 10th annual International Women’s Day lunch at @ClydeParkWines featuring the incredible @salltweets who has spent more than four years fighting for the privacy, dignity and safety of women and girls.

The Federal Court decision in Tickle v Giggle, now under appeal, is no laughing matter. It found, alarmingly, that Sall Grover had no right under the Sex Discrimination Act to exclude men, who identify as women, from her women-only app, Giggle.

The rights of women and girls to participate in single-sex sport and access single-sex spaces, from change rooms to online communities, should not be controversial.

Another beautiful #IWD24 luncheon at the magnificent @ClydeParkWines vineyard near Bannockburn today.

Such an important opportunity to celebrate the quiet achievements of so many women in our community.

This year’s guest speaker was Feed Me Bellarine co-founder and CEO Lana Purcell who, backed by more than 500 volunteers, is doing the most incredible job caring for families in need on the Bellarine, Geelong and the Surf Coast.

I am proud to have hosted this event for the last 7 years to raise money for Meli and the SAFV Centre in support of women and children fleeing family violence.
