This cartoon nails something most people are afraid to say out loud.
Christianity built the West.
The hospitals, the universities, the common law, the abolition of slavery, the idea that every single human being carries equal dignity because every single human being is made in the image of God. All of it came from one source.
That source is now under attack from three directions, and the dam is cracking.
Look at Western Europe. Cathedrals built over a thousand years are being sold off, turned into nightclubs, or quietly locked shut. Native birth rates have collapsed below replacement, while migration from the Islamic world climbs year after year. The demographic math is not complicated. France, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Sweden, the United Kingdom, all of them are trending toward a future their grandparents would not recognize.
This is not happening to them. They are doing it to themselves.
Europe is committing a slow, deliberate, polite form of national suicide. The leadership class has decided that the civilization their ancestors built is a source of shame, not pride. They will not defend the faith that made the West possible, so they cannot defend the West.
George Washington warned us about this in his Farewell Address. He said religion and morality are indispensable supports of political prosperity. Strip them out, and the whole structure comes apart.
America is not Europe, and we still have a fighting chance. Our churches are not all closing. Our families are not all shrinking. Our love of country is not extinguished.
But the same forces battering the European dam are battering ours. Paganism repackaged as wellness culture. Islamism imported under the banner of diversity. Communism rebranded as social justice.
The good news is simple. We know what built this. We know what protects it. And we know that a free, faithful, hopeful people can still choose to rebuild the wall.
