Another dry warm windy week π Still praying for overnight rain at some pointπ§οΈ. We applied a Soil surfactant (Revolution) to the greens to help the water get evenly distributed through the soil profile.
After a very dry April, we finished the month with 45mm of rain π Sprayed greens with a wetting agent to help water management and Fertilized tees and greens. The rain washed everything well. Hope your all well and staying safe.
The project by 15 green we started in February has Dwarf Rye grass coming along well. This will be a bail out area instead of the trees that were there. And we are mowing the main areas as needed as well some watering on dry spots on greens. #staysafe
Hope all of you are keeping safe and well. We are still maintaining the golf course within the government guidelines. We do miss seeing you all out there. This week we have seen Adders, Toads, Deer, and a family of ducks. The bluebells are just starting go past their peak.
We are still carrying out some tasks during this time. Now the weather has warmed up and with a bit more growth we will be mowing greens, tees, approaches and fairways. And even a bit of watering. #staysafeeveryone
By doing this it is recommended you leave the flag stick in, and you can retrieve your ball without taking the flag out and reaching too far in to the hole cup. #leavetheflagin
Nice dry morning to roll greens after aeration and top dressing earlier in the week. We have removed alot of contact points that golfers may have had, putting green flag sticks, ball washers, rakes. We have also turned hole cups upside down
Keep The Pin In β³οΈ
To reduce touch points and cross contamination we are from today implementing a 'Keep The Pin In' approach during all play. Please observe and action this important measure.

Verti draining greens today/ tomorrow.Followed by top dressing. 9 inch depth to allow gas/ oxgen exchange, root development, drainage and relieve compaction. Really lucky the weather is stunning today.
Graden scarifying tees today, a really good dry windy day to do this. Helping to remove thatch and open up the surface after a particularly wet period. As we move towards the end of March we will also overseed the tees with RPR Extreme- dwarf rye grass.
Lovely blue skyβs this morning. Course open with the only restriction being buggies. Twilight tee times available. Call 01732 842121 to book @KingsHillGolf@GolfGrowing β³οΈ
