Today the U.S. bishops will consecrate the United States of America to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, joined by parishes and faithful across the country. The act of consecration takes place as part of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
Join the livestream this afternoon at 4pm ET / 3pm CT / 2pm MT / 1pm PT. Watch along, pray with us, and entrust our nation to the love of Christ's Sacred Heart.
Let us ask Mary, Queen of Peace, to teach us to renounce hurtful words, hasty judgment, gossip, and slander. May we learn to cherish and nurture love within our families, among friends, in the workplace, on social media, in political debates, and in Christian communities, so that hatred may give way to hope and peace. #ApostolicJourney
Off to speak to the priests of Nashville, with Dr Ryan Hanning. Thankful for the invitation for @CMDisciples to partner with @CatholicsHome on this. Prayers are appreciated for the both of us.
Why is the Pope talking AI, tech, & business?
Because:
-they have a moral dimension,
-it impacts humanity globally,
-he can talk about things beyond explicit doctrine
-who else can ask these important questions & start a global conversation?
In the era of #ArtificialIntelligence, when human dignity is threatened by new forms of dehumanization, ours is the pressing duty to remain profoundly human. We must lovingly safeguard the grandeur of humanity bestowed upon us and revealed in its fullness in Christ, the splendor of which no machine can ever replace. #MagnificaHumanitas

Mary is the Mother of the whole Church. Everyone can turn to her with filial confidence, certain of being heard, protected, and loved. #GeneralAudience
I LOVE my job! Just finished an intensive with a parish leadership team. Already seeing transformation! They said:
-Miracles are happening
-I feel alive
-God is working powerfully
-Iโm hopeful for the first time in years
God wants renewal - we just have to say yes
@CMDisciples
The strategy of Jesus was to:
1 - discern and do what the Father wanted.
2 - form deep community and relationships.
3 - form others in the skills needed to fulfill the mission he was given.
This is the answer...

By every modern leadership metric - Jesus' strategy was WILDLY inefficient. But, it worked.
Catholic parishes need to return to the inefficiency of Jesus.

Every honest parish leader knows the feeling.
The conferences have been attended. The vision exists. There is real fruit. Still, in the quiet, anyone honest knows: the parish hasn't actually been transformed.
We are still missing 1 step. And it might be the 1 that mattered most.
The main point of Christianity was this: that Nature is not our mother: Nature is our sister. We can be proud of her beauty, since we have the same father; but she has no authority over us; we have to admire, but not to imitate.
