Post 1 of 2: This morning, at about 7:52 a.m., CMFR and CMPD responded to a restaurant at the 3300 block of Bristol Street reference a male employee who had fallen from the roof while climbing down a ladder. The 32-year-old man was determined to be deceased upon CMFR’s arrival.

*Brush Fire Update* The voluntary evacuation order for Swan Dr is now lifted. Residents can safely return to their homes. We thank our community for the on-going support while we managed this emergency.

*Brush Fire Update* Due to a strong coordinated effort from CMFR & our regional partners, we have moved into a “mop-up” phase where we perform perimeter patrol, applying water to hotspots and other areas of concern.

*Brush Fire Update* Fire crews continue to make good progress and will transition to mop up. Residents can expect crews to be working throughout the night, and load noises may be heard periodically.

*Brush Fire Update* Crews are making good progress and continue to extinguish active flanks of the fire. Per Sensor aircraft, the fire is mapped at 8.4 acres. Swan Dr. continues to be under voluntary evacuation, with Balearic as the evacuation reception center.

Due to smoke conditions, Swan Dr is under voluntary evacuation orders and Belearic Community Center has been opened as an evacuation center/information center.

CMFR on scene at 1298 Victoria, Talbert Park North on a brush fire. Be advised there is smoke throughout the area. Please stay away while crews work to knock down the fire.

CMFR is in unified command with OCFA. Several neighboring agencies are assisting and will be committed for several hours. Fire is currently estimated at 4 acres.

Initial post: CMFR Responds to Residential Fire at 2800 block of Serang. FF’s arrived at 5:21 to find fire billowing out of a single family home. Crews acted strategically to combat the fire and assess an occupant for injuries. The fire was knocked down in less than 10 minutes.

No injuries occurred and the occupant assessed declined further treatment. CMFR will remain on scene to investigate the cause & origin. Smoke alarms were instrumental in alerting the occupants of a fire. Thanks to our partners at Fountain Valley FD for assisting.

#CMFR responded to a fatal car fire just after 5 am at 17th & Newport Blvd. crews arrived to find a fully involved vehicle with one occupant inside. FF’s quickly extinguished the fire & began mitigation efforts to control fuel runoff. @CMPD is investigating.

#CMFR responded on a working fire in an apt complex. On arrival FF's reported a fire consuming the 2nd floor, involving 4 units. The apt. complex was under renovation. It took ff's 15 minutes to gain control & extinguish the fire, limiting fire spread to adjacent bldg's.

The apt's were located in the 100 block of 22nd St. No reported injuries, the cause of the fire is under investigation. Assistance provided by Fountain Valley Fire, @HBFD_PIO @NewportBeachFD.

*Update* four victims treated. Two were released on scene while two were transported to a local area hospital. CHP remains on scene to investigate and CalTrans arrived for hazard mitigation.

Just before 1 pm, CMFR responded to a traffic accident involving a semi truck that rolled over and erupted into flames that quickly spread to another vehicle. FF’s initiated fire attack and began triaging victims. Assistance was provided by @fountainvalleyfire & @OCFireAuthority.
