🧠 Quick math on RI's proposed 208 MW / 1,248 MWh Quonset battery farm: It could supply the average electricity demand of all 457,000 Rhode Island homes for **3.5 hours** if wind & solar go offline.(1,248 MWh ÷ ~355 MW residential load)
Reality check: Battery maxes out at 208 MW — only ~59% of average home demand. At full output, it lasts 6 hrs but only partially covers needs. You need 10 days! At what cost???
