ਨਸ਼ਾ ਮੁਕਤ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਸੰਕਲਪ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤੀ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ @BhagwantMann ਨੇ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਵਿਖੇ ਵਿਲੇਜ ਡਿਫੈਂਸ ਕਮੇਟੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸੂਬਾ ਪੱਧਰੀ ਬੈਠਕ ਦੌਰਾਨ ‘ਯੁੱਧ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ’ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਗਤੀ ਦਾ ਜਾਇਜ਼ਾ ਲਿਆ। ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਦੇ 500 ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ 70,000 ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਤਸਕਰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ। ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਮੁਕਤ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਟੀਚੇ ਲਈ ਪੂਰੀ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਕੰਮ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।

As the decisive ‘Gangsteran Te Vaar’ campaign enters its 195th day, Punjab Police conducted 613 raids at identified and mapped locations linked to associates of gangsters across the state. On Day 195, Police teams arrested individuals with three weapons, taking the total arrests to 55,939 since the launch of the campaign. Police teams have also arrested six Proclaimed Offenders (POs) during the operation.

Police teams have continued its drive against drugs “Yudh Nashian Virudh” for 520th day. Following the arrest of the drug smugglers the teams recovered 12.2 kg heroin, 80 kg poppy husk, 704 intoxicant pills and Rs 2800 drug money from their possession. With this, the number of total drug smugglers arrested has reached to 75,303 in 520 days. As part of De-addiction, the Punjab Police has convinced nine persons to undergo de-addiction and rehabilitation treatment.

Punjab Chief Minister @BhagwantMann asserted that the Punjab Government’s 'Yudh Nashian Virudh' (war against drugs) will continue until every ounce of the menace is eliminated from the state, declaring that the remarkable success of the ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh’ has been made possible through the active participation of people. During a meeting with Village Defence Committee (VDC) volunteers, Pinda De Pehredaar, in Ludhiana, the Chief Minister said the campaign has completed 500 days, during which 70,000 drug smugglers have been arrested, while 1.25 lakh volunteers across 13,000 villages have emerged as the backbone of the movement.
