Across the country, Swiss cities transform into festive stages filled with creative costumes, masked performances, and endless celebrations, making it a truly immersive experience. 🎭

Each carnival has its own unique traditions. Bellinzona’s carnival, for example, is known as Rabadan (meaning "noise" in local dialect). It begins when the mayor hands over the city’s keys to King Rabadan, marking the start of the festivities. One of the highlights is the Corteo, a big parade of intricately designed floats, often with a satirical twist.
